A 3.5 hours driving time from Hanoi and passing through few provinces and picturesque villages, we reach Halong Bay
The beautiful sights of Halong Bay are one of the most sought destinations in all Vietnam
located in the Gulf of Tonkin near the border with China, the bay consist of a dense cluster of 3,000 limestone monolithic islands, each topped with thick jungle vegetation, which rise spectacularly from the water.
We took an overnight cruise, here is out boat
a nice welcome with cocktails and lunch
my cabin, very cozy I might say...
Designated a World Heritage Site, for its stunning landscape, its towering limestone and emerald green water
Majestic and mysterious, inspiring and imperious
4 fishing villages live in Halong Bay, they live on floating houses and are sustained through fishing and marine aquaculture
a visit to the village and a boat ride by the local fisherman
words alone cannot do justice to this natural wonder
back to our boat for more cruising
cooking class on board
a little Australian mate traveling with us
the following morning I opened the cabin window and this is I was greeted with....
